Purpose of This Blog
The purpose of this blog is to share Japanese language, culture, and the richness of seasonal cuisine in a clear and enjoyable way.

Profile
I’m originally from Kumamoto Prefecture in the Kyushu region, in the south of Japan, and I now live in Tokyo.
I grew up in a family deeply rooted in traditional Japanese culture—my grandmother was a master teacher of Nihon-buyō (Japanese classical dance), and my grandfather used to teach shamisen (a traditional three-stringed Japanese instrument).
I learned Nihon-buyō for seven years as well.
I’m also a long-time admirer of historical places in Japan, especially Kyoto.
Through this blog, I hope to share the beauty of Japanese traditions.
Moreover, I hope to explore the changing seasons, and the cuisines that accompany them.
